Q: What are the signs and symptoms of Heat Exhaustion?
A:Heat exhaustion is the result of a number physiological and environmental factors, the main one being the result dehydration.
Heat exhaustion is characterised by a many things including;
- high heart rate
- dizziness
- headache
- loss of mental clarity/ endurance/ confusion / skill & coordination
- nausea
- Face and skin can become pale due to the vasoconstriction of sub-cutaneous blood vessels such as capillaries.
- Athletes will pass little urine
- Muscle cramps may begin to occur
